Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 13 Lynchburg 16-4

The Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team (4-5, 2-1 ODAC) were defeated 16-4 in conference play by No. 13 Lynchburg. 

Mark Sprague led the Marlins offense as he had one goal and two assists, one ground ball, and caused two turnovers, Parker Lucas scored twice to lead all goal scorers, and Sebastian Reynolds recorded two assists, and grabbed two ground balls. 

Allen Shaw took the loss in the net, as he played the first half, allowed 12 goals, and made two saves, and Zack Tucker played the second half, allowed four goals, and made eight saves. 

The Hornets started strong scoring nine goals in the first quarter. The Marlins scored one goal as Mark Sprague was assisted by Sebastian Reynolds to bring the score to 9-1 after one quarter. 

Virginia Wesleyan were outscored 3-1 in the second quarter as Parker Lucas scored the lone goal for the Marlins with an assist from Sprague. Lynchburg took a 12-2 lead into halftime. 

In the third quarter, the Hornets scored three goals to lead 15-2, but the Marlins found the back of the net as Parker Lucas scored with an assist from Sebastian Reynolds

VWU kept up with the Hornets in the fourth quarter as each team scored one goal. Daniel Auxier got on the board for the Marlins with an assist from Sprague to bring the score to 16-4 before the final horn blew.
