The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team (1-1) was defeated by Hood College 14-3. 

Helen Kennedy-Butler scored two goals in the game, one four shots, one ground ball, one draw control, and caused one turnover, Gianna Delevan had one assist, caused three turnovers, and had two ground balls, and Madison Pfister scored one goal, on two shots, recorded four caused turnovers, three draw controls, and two ground balls.

Hood College scored eight unanswered goals in the first quarter.

The Marlins scored a goal in the second quarter to 12-1 just before halftime. 

The Blazers scored one goal in the third to lead 13-1.

Virginia Wesleyan outscored the Blazers 2-1 in the fourth quarter as Helen-Kennedy Butler scored two goals, the first goal at the 6:12 mark with an assist from Daphne Myers, to cut the score to 14-3.
