The Virginia Wesleyan University women's basketball team (3-17, 1-13 ODAC) fell to ODAC opponent Bridgewater 59-38.
Mekayla Clarke led the offense with 13 points shooting 6-for-21 from the field, one rebound, and one assist, and Juliana Anderson scored 10 points shooting 4-for-7 from the field, 1-for-3 from beyond the arc, grabbed two rebounds, and one assist.

- In the paint, Bridgewater scored 24 points and grabbed 43 rebounds, compared to Virginia Wesleyan's 20 points and 32 rebounds.
How It Happened:
The Eagles had a 5-0 run to start the game and outscored the Marlins 8-6 the rest of the quarter to lead 13-6 heading into the second frame.
In the second quarter, Bridgewater started with a 12-0 run to lead 25-6 at the 5:38 mark. The Marlins scored six points in that quarter to bring the score to 32-12 at the break.
The Eagles kept the momentum in the third quarter starting with a 10-4 run to lead 42-16. However, Virginia Wesleyan didn't give up and they mounted a staggering 14-2 run the rest of the quarter to cut the lead down to 44-30.
The Marlins managed to outscore the host 7-6 at the start of the final frame, but the Eagles' lead was too great and they took home the 59-38 victory.
