The Virginia Wesleyan men's basketball team (14-3, 5-3 ODAC) fell to Bridgewater 75-56.
Miles Wallace led the team with 15 points going 6-for-9 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, he grabbed five rebounds, three steals, and two assists, Waylo Wilson had 10 points shooting 4-for-9 from the field, had four rebounds, and one assist, and Khai Seargeant had eight points shooting 3-for-7 from the field, had two rebounds, and two steals.

- The Eagles shot lights out tonight shooting 27-for-57 (47.5%) from the field, 11-for-19 (57.9%) from three-point territory, and 10-for-15 (66.7%) from the free throw line, while the Marlins shot 20-for-61 (32.8%) from the field, 6-for-22 (27.3%) from deep, and 10-for-12 (83.3%) from the charity stripe.
- Virginia Wesleyan had more rebounds with 38 compared to Bridgewater's 34, however, the Eagles scored 28 points in the paint compared to the Marlins' 26.
How It Happened:
The Eagles started strong with a 5-0 run to begin the game, but the Marlins went on an 8-3 run to tie the game at 8-8. Bridgewater countered with an 8-0 run to lead 16-10. Virginia Wesleyan responded with a 7-0 run to lead 17-16 midway through the first half.
The visitors went on a 13-0 run over the next three minutes to lead 29-17 with 7:06 left in the half. VWU responded with a 9-3 run to cut the lead down to 32-26, but the Eagles outscored the Marlins 8-7 to close out the first half to lead 40-33.
Bridgewater came out hot after the break going on a 15-5 run to lead 55-38 at the 13:25 mark. Over the next ten minutes the two teams scored 15 points each with the Eagles holding a 70-53 lead over the host with 2:56 left in the half.
The Eagles hot shooting gave them the 75-56 win over the Marlins.
