The Virginia Wesleyan baseball team (5-25-1, 4-12-1 ODAC) lost to the Hampden-Sydney Tigers 10-1.
The Tigers struck first, scoring a run in both the first and second inning to go up 2-0 on the Marlins.
In the fourth, they added two more, followed by a three-run fifth inning to make the score 7-0.
The Tigers then added another run in the seventh and two more in the eighth as well, to make it a 10-1 game.
Micah Fox started and got the loss, pitching 4.0 innings, allowing six hits, two walks, and four runs, and striking out one batter.
