The Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team (6-6, 3-3 ODAC) was defeated by ODAC opponent Randolph-Macon 22-3.
The Marlins were shutout by the Yellow Jackets in the first half leading 13-0.
The Yellow Jackets continued their scoring streak out of the half with three goals before the Marlins'
Mark Sprague scored an unassisted goal getting the Marlins on the scoreboard 1-16. Randolph-Macon scored two more before
Liam Murphy broke down the defense scoring another unassisted goal for the Marlins ending the third quarter 2-18.
Randolph-Macon scored four goals at the beginning of the fourth quarter until
Jackson Dinger scored the final goal of the game, finding the back of the net off of a feed from
Sam Edwards, 3-22.
Zack Tucker took the loss in the net as he had 22 goals against and made 16 saves.
Kris Barnum led the team in ground balls with seven and kept even with the Yellow Jackets on the face offs, controlling 14-28.
