Maesyn Blaylock led the Marlins with 11 points shooting 4-for-10 from the field, with two steals and one rebound, and teammate Mekayla Clarke scored 10 points shooting 4-for-14 for the field, grabbed five rebounds, two steals, and one assist.

How it Happened:
The Generals started strong with an 18-2 run to start the game, but the Marlins made back-to-back jumpers to cut the lead down to 18-6. W&L held a 25-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The hosts kept up the pressure and built up a 44-9 lead, however, Virginia Wesleyan went on a 4-0 run to cut the lead to 44-13. The Generals led 53-15 at the end of the second quarter.
The Marlins held No. 15 W&L to 16 points in the third quarter to lead 68-23 heading into the final frame. The Generals went on to win 99-30.
