Box Score MONTGOMERY, Alabama - The Virginia Wesleyan baseball team fell to the Hawks of Huntingdon College 15-5 on day two of the Huntingdon College Firehouse Classic.

The Marlins started the game off hot putting four runs on the board in the top of the first inning. Jaelen Hines scored the first run following an error by the right fielder during Garrett Lyons at-bat. Jake Ness and Lyons both came home off a single to center field by Matt Sinko that put VWU up 3-0. Matt Culbert scored the final run of the inning off a single by Thomas Crandall to right field.
The Hawks of Huntingdon scored a single run in the bottom of the first putting the score at 4-1. Both teams went scoreless in the second and third innings but HC posted an eight run inning in the bottom of the fourth taking a 9-4 lead.
A sac fly in the top of the five by Lyons scored Hines giving VWU their fifth, and final run, of the game. Huntingdon scored six more runs in the final three innings to claim a 15-5 victory. HC put up three in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh as the game was called in seven innings to a tournament 10-run rule.
