HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team drew against the Royals of Eastern Mennonite University 1-1 on Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg, VA.

FIRST HALF
- The Royals showed up early as they broke onto the scoreboard two minutes into the contest taking the 1-0 advantage.
- The two teams battled throughout the next 37 minutes before the Virginia Wesleyan evened the score up at one all following a goal from Jaron Berry in the 39th minute. The goal was Berry's first of the season and the assist came Aria Kimiavi (1st assist).
- Neither team scored the remaining six minutes of the opening half as the teams entered the break even at 1-1.
SECOND HALF
- The two squads battled back and forth throughout the second half with neither team finding another score.
- VWU got off 17 shots in the second half to EMU's 11.

Virginia Wesleyan is back in action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Lexington, VA to face the Generals of Washington & Lee University on Oct. 12. Kick-off between the Generals and Marlins is set for 7 PM.
