VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team defeated the Maroons from Roanoke College 4-0 on Senior Day at the Tassos Paphites Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, VA. Four different Marlins scored in the victory.

FIRST HALF
The Marlins struck rather early finding their first goal of the match in the 15th minute on a free kick shot turned goal off the foot of
Alexis Miller. About ten minutes later, Virginia Wesleyan added a second goal as
Molly Gobble headed a
Sam Crawford free-kick pass past the Maroon keeper into the back of the goal putting VWU up 2-0.
SECOND HALF
The Marlins came out of the halftime break wanting to increase their lead and less than a minute into the return to play,
Shyenne Diaz connected with the net for the third goal of the game. Another ten minutes passed before VWU hit the back of the net for the fourth and what would be the final time in the 56th. Lexie Soteriou sent a pass from
Alexis Miller off the corner kick into the back of the net for her third goal of the season. Virginia Wesleyan held Roanoke the remainder of the match going on to win 4-0.
