- Neither team managed to find a score in the opening two innings despite the Marlins leaving a runner on base in the bottom of the first.
- Salisbury put up a pair of runs in the top of the third on a 2 RBI single to short right field as the ball was hit just over the firstbasemans head.

- The Sea Gulls added four more runs in the top of the fourth after a double and three hit by pitches loaded the bases and walked in the first run. The other two runs scored on a single down through left side moving the score up to 6-0.
