Leidy begins his 22nd season at Virginia Wesleyan in 2020-21 after an in-depth coaching career.

He was the former assistant soccer coach for Virginia Beach's Salem High School as well as the former coach for the U.S. Navy Command soccer team for 10 years.

Vasit is a former U.S. Navy Aircrewman, Flight Instructor and Command Fitness Leader as well as Command Senior Enlisted Advisor AWCS (AW/NAC). His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (4 awards) and various service and campaign awards. He graduated with honors from the Navy's Aviation Electrician's Technician "A" school.

Leidy received his associate's degree in electrical engineering technology from New York's Orange County Community College in 1985 before earning his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology from SUNY-Utica in 1988. He was born in Nakhon, Thailand and raised in Layton, Utah.
