Cathrine Duffy joined the VWU Women's Lacrosse coaching staff in the fall of 2021, this will be her fourth season with the Marlins.
For the 2024 season, she helped the team to a 5-12 overall record and 3-6 in ODAC play. Secured an eighth seed in the ODAC Conference Championship, with a team that was led by Helen Kennedy-Butler who scored 40 goals and had nine assists, Michaela Elston was second on the team in points with 21 goals, and 15 assists, and Madison Pfister scored 31 goals, and three assists.
During the 2022 season, Duffy helped the Marlins to a 8-9 record and a 4-3 ODAC mark. The Marlins advanced to the ODAC Championship tournament facing Lynchburg in the quarterfinals. Under her guidance, Helen Kennedy-Butler, Natalie Dunn, and Michaela Elston all recorded 20+ goals during the season.
