Megan Belo

Megan Belo is entering her second year at the helm of the Women's Basketball team.

In her first season as head coach, Women's Basketball improved on last season’s record and improved their play, averaging 11.1 more ppg than last season and had a positive rebound margin for the first time since 2018.

Prior to joining Virginia Wesleyan University, Megan served as the Assistant Coach at Dickinson College. In her first year at Dickinson, the team accumulated a 17-8 record and the coaching staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the Centennial Conference, marking a milestone as the first in program history. During her second year with the program, Megan played an instrumental role in leading the team to a 19-win season – a feat not achieved since 2007.

Before her tenure at Dickinson College, Megan honed her coaching skills as the Assistant Coach at her alma mater, the University of Mary Washington. During her time there, she demonstrated her leadership abilities and played an integral part in shaping the team's performance and fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the court. She earned her Master's degree in Athletic Leadership from Castleton University in Vermont while serving as the graduate assistant for their women's basketball program.
