Mabry joined the Virginia Wesleyan University Athletic Department in April of 2020 as the new assistant women's basketball coach.

Mabry helped the Marlins collect a trio of wins on the season over North Carolina Wesleyan, Meredith, and Regent. She also helped coach sophomore forward Adaje Williams to a team high 294 points and 203 rebounds.

The 2020-21 season posed unique challenges as teams dealt with playing basketball through the COVID-19 pandemic. The Marlins went 5-7 in the shortened season with a 4-4 ODAC record. VWU advanced to the semifinals of the ODAC Championship Tournament falling to Washington & Lee.

Prior to joining VWU, Mabry spent one season as a graduate assistant coach at Averett University where she assisted the head coach in organizing and conducting practices as well as coaching during contests.

Mabry played collegiate basketball at Montgomery College before transferring to Washington Adventist University for her junior and senior seasons. Mabry was a leader on the team for the WAU Shock helping the team to two of their best seasons in program history with a 19-12 record in 2018 and 20-10 in 2019.

She participated in a Nike basketball camp while at Montgomery College and in 2015, Mabry coached at the John Wall Basketball Camp where she expanded her knowledge of skills and techniques through various station breakdowns while also teaching young athletes about the sport.

In addition to playing basketball, Mabry spent her extra time working within various offices on campus including time as a Sports Information assistant, Human Resource assistant, and a Weight Room assistant. Mabry also interned during the summer of 2018 with the Equipment and Transportation department at Georgetown University.
