Justin Parrish

Justin Parrish joined the Virginia Wesleyan men's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2017-18 season after a successful tenure in area high school athletics.

Parrish was most recently the head varsity boy's basketball coach at Salem High School where his teams improved their records in each of the last three seasons, going 12-11 in the 2015-16 campaign. His teams participated in postseason action in five of six seasons while making an appearance in the Regional Tournament in 2010-11. Six of his student-athletes went on to play collegiate basketball.

Before assuming the head varsity job, he served as the junior varsity coach at Salem High School from the 2006-10 seasons. He came to Salem after two years as the JV coach at Southern Vance High School in Henderson, North Carolina.

Parrish graduated with a B.S. in sports and exercise studies with coaching and administration double major with a minor in business from Greensboro College in 2004. He was a four-year letterman at Greensboro while playing power forward and center. He earned his M.Ed. in cross categorical special education from the University of Phoenix Online in 2007.
