Thomas Crandall joined the Virginia Wesleyan University Athletics Staff as the Assistant baseball coach in January 2025, he is entering his first season with the Marlins Baseball program.
Crandall graduated from Virginia Wesleyan in the spring of 2024, with a BA in Political Science. He had a successful four-year career from 2021-2024. The Virginia Beach native was a skillful third baseman playing in 65 games and starting in 55. In his 222 at-bats, he recorded 76 hits, with 15 doubles, two triples, six home runs, with 43 RBI, earning a career batting average of .342. In his senior year, he was named First Team All-Conference, VaSID Second Team All-State, and AVCA First Team All-Region.
