Laci Campbell of the Virginia Wesleyan University softball team has been named by the CSC (College Sports Communicators) to Third Team Academic All-American.
Laci Campbell had a fantastic season, receiving NFCA Third Team All-American, First Team All-Region, ODAC Player of the Year, and First Team All-ODAC honors. She had a great season, starting all 56 games for the Marlins, with a .389 batting average, 58 hits, four doubles, three triples, and two home runs, totaling 33 RBI. She led the league in scoring with 69 runs, stole a league-high 52 bases, and was only struck out five times in 149 at bats, with a .497 slugging percentage, with an OPS of .994.
She excels in the classroom, as she has a 3.84 Cumulative GPA and is a double major in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
