The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team is set to host the 2025 ECAC Championship Tournament Final for the first time in program history! The Marlins will host the #2 seed Salisbury on Saturday, March 15, at 6 PM.

The Marlins men's basketball team had another winning season under Head Coach Dave Macedo, with a 19-7 record, going 12-4 in the ODAC to secure the #4 Seed in the ODAC Championship Tournament. Dave Macedo hit career-win 500 and now sits at 509 wins to date. Omari DeVeaux and Amari Moorer were named second team All-Conference by the ODAC.

Virginia Wesleyan had no trouble in the ECAC Quarterfinals defeating the #8 seed Franciscan 73-51. Next, the Marlins faced the host of Pod 1, the #5 Seed McDaniel, where they took care of business and won 75-62.

The Seagulls had another solid season posting an 18-10 record. As the #2 seed in the ECAC, they faced the #7 seed UMaine Presque Isle first and won 77-63. Then, Salisbury had a hard-fought game against the #3 seed NJCU where they emerged the victor, 69-65.

This will be the third meeting between VWU and Salisbury this season. The Seagulls won the first game 72-69 on November 26, but the Marlins won on the road 61-56 on January 4th.
