The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team was ranked No. 14 in the D3hoops.com National Preseason Poll. 
Last season, the Marlins went 22-7 overall and 12-4 in the ODAC to claim the #4 Seed in the ODAC Championship Tournament, where they lost to the eventual Champions, #5 Seed Guilford. VWU's season didn't end there, as they qualified for the ECAC Championship Tournament, where they were Crowned ECAC Champions for the first time in school history with a 74-50 win over Salisbury. 
Omari DeVeaux was named MVP of the Tournament as 
Amari Moorer and 
Khai Seargeant were selected to the All-Tournament team. 
Virginia Wesleyan has built a strong schedule for the 2025-26 season, as they played Keene State (RV) to begin their season, they play the winner of No. 7 Wisc.-La Crosse vs. No. 17 Hampden-Sydney. Then, they travel to play against Rival No. 9 CNU on December 16th and On Jan. 3 they take on Franklin and Marshall (RV). At the beginning of ODAC play the Marlins will battle No. 10 Roanoke on Jan. 17th, followed by No. 2 Randolph-Macon on Jan. 21st, and No. 17 Hampden-Sydney on Jan. 28th. Virginia Wesleyan will end the season on the road No. 2 Randolph-Macon on Feb. 18th. 
The 2025-26 campaign will open on Nov. 6, as VWU hosts Keene State in the Townebank Tipoff Tournament.
