VWU Hosts Muskingum University in Super Regionals of the NCAA Tournament

Virginia Wesleyan University softball punched their ticket to the Super Regionals of the NCAA tournament going 3-0 in their regional pod. The Marlins are set to host Muskingum University beginning Thursday at Townebank Park. 

Thursday's game will begin at 2:00 PM, and Friday's games will start at 1:00 PM, with a winner-take-all game, if necessary at 3:30 PM.

Tickets will be available at TowneBank Park one hour before the first game each day. Cash is highly encouraged (Bills under $20); Adults will be sold for $10, $8 for Students and Seniors, and $5 for kids ages 4-12. 

The Marlins are ranked No. 8 in the country and last weekend won their 15th conference title over Roanoke College. Head Coach Brandon Elliott is in his 17th season with the team and this is the 12th appearance in the NCAA where he has won three National Titles. This is the Marlins' third straight year in the NCAA Super Regionals and fifth overall in program history. 

Muskingum University went 3-1 in the NCAA Softball Regional Pod hosted by Moravian. In their 21st NCAA appearance, they went 3-1 with the lone loss coming against Roanoke in the Regional Finals. The Muskies have a 31-14 record this season and this will be their first Super Regional appearance since the 2014 season.
