National Pitcher of the Year Hannah Hearl headlined a group of six Virginia Wesleyan University softball student-athletes named to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-America Teams, the organization announced Wednesday.

Hearl, along with fellow First Team selections Emma Adams and Morgan Tucker, paced a historic All-America haul for the Marlins. Samantha Deitsch and Taylor McQueen earned Second Team honors, while Laci Campbell was selected to the Third Team.

The six All-America selections cap one of the most remarkable seasons in NCAA Division III softball history as Virginia Wesleyan finished 50-2, captured its 17th ODAC Championship, advanced to the NCAA Division III Women's College World Series, and spent much of the season ranked No. 1 in the nation.

Virginia Wesleyan's six All-Americans further cement the program's status among the nation's elite, adding to a season that saw the Marlins produce seven NFCA All-Region selections and numerous conference award winners.

Fresh off being named the NFCA Division III National Pitcher of the Year, Hearl turned in one of the most dominant pitching seasons in collegiate softball. The junior right-hander posted a 26-1 record with a 0.55 ERA across 140.2 innings while striking out 203 batters and limiting opponents to a .115 batting average. The ODAC Pitcher of the Year and NFCA Region VI Pitcher of the Year recorded seven shutouts during the season, including a perfect game in NCAA Tournament play, helping anchor a Virginia Wesleyan pitching staff that led the nation with a 0.68 ERA.

Tucker, was one of the most dangerous hitters in the country throughout the season. The ODAC Player of the Year and NFCA Region VI Player of the Year posted a staggering .503 batting average while leading the Marlins in runs scored (65), hits (72), home runs (12), RBI (83), slugging percentage (.902), and total bases (129). She reached base at a .582 clip and struck out only seven times all season while helping anchor Virginia Wesleyan's explosive offense

Adams was recognized as a First Team All-American for her dominance both in the circle and defensively. The Rawlings Gold Glove Award recipient finished 23-1 with a 0.63 ERA and two saves over 121.1 innings, allowing opponents to hit just .181 against her. She also contributed offensively with a .343 batting average, 24 hits, three home runs, and 20 RBI while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

McQueen's Second Team selection follows a remarkable senior campaign behind the plate. The All-Region catcher hit .479 with 67 hits, 17 doubles, eight home runs, 63 RBI, and 51 runs scored. Defensively, she committed just one error in 211 chances, recording a .995 fielding percentage while guiding one of the nation's top pitching staffs.

Deitsch earned Second Team recognition after serving as one of the most versatile players in the nation. The senior utility standout batted .458 with 70 hits, 54 runs scored, 52 RBI, 13 doubles, and six triples while adding 27 stolen bases. Her ability to impact the game offensively and defensively proved invaluable throughout Virginia Wesleyan's championship run.

Campbell rounded out the Marlins' All-America contingent with Third Team honors. The senior outfielder scored a team-high 70 runs and hit .386 with 54 hits, 37 RBI, and 55 stolen bases in 60 attempts. A catalyst at the top of the lineup, Campbell consistently created opportunities for one of Division III's most potent offenses.

As a team, the Marlins finished the season hitting .402 with 495 runs scored while their pitching staff posted a nation-leading 0.68 ERA. Virginia Wesleyan outscored opponents 495-47 and spent the entire season among the nation's top-ranked programs, ultimately producing one of the most successful campaigns in school and Division III softball history.

The six NFCA All-America selections serve as the latest chapter in a historic 2026 season, one that saw the Marlins establish themselves as one of the premier teams in the country while continuing the championship tradition that has defined Virginia Wesleyan softball for more than a decade.
