The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team (6-3) defeated Hampden-Sydney 8-1.
In the doubles matches, Tudor Vlad and Sebastien Muller won their match in the No. 3 spot 8-4, then the No. 1 duo of Felix Bevc and Ole Behrmann won 8-4, and Rafael Rullan Zarraga and Alen Curovic dropped the No. 2 doubles match 4-8. The Marlins held a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches concluded.
Felix Bevc breezed through his No. 1 singles match with a 6-0,6-0 win, and Carlos Rullan Zarraga won the No. 5 singles match 6-0, 6-4 to put the Marlins at match point up 4-1. Alen Curovic sealed the win as he won the No. 6 singles match 6-1, 6-0.
Ole Behrmann won the No. 3 singles match 6-4, 6-4 to put Virginia Wesleyan up 6-1 in the match. Hubert Parawa won the No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-4, and teammate Rafael Rullan Zarraga won the No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3.
