The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team defeated non-conference opponent Centre College 6-3.
In the No. 1 doubles, Centre College grabbed a point as Ty Bush and Bo Bush defeated Ole Behrmann and Felix Bevc won 8-5. The Marlins rallied and the duo of Rafael Rullan Zarraga and Alen Curovic won against Ben Rueff and Ashton Whitt 8-7 and Sebastien Muller and Tudor Vlad won the No. 3 doubles 8-3 against Chase Turley and Jasper Gazzo to give the Marlins a 2-1 lead heading into the singles matches.
The No. 4 singles match ended first as Hubert Parawa was defeated by Isaac Flanery 1-6, 1-6 tying the match at 2-2. Ole Behrmann took the lead back for the Marlins as he won 6-2, 6-4 against Jasper Gazzo. Rafael Rullan Zarraga extended the Marlins lead with a 7-6, 6-2 win over Bo Bush in the No. 2 spot. With three singles matches left the Marlins held a 4-2 lead.
Felix Bevc lost in the No. 1 spot to Ben Rueff 5-7, 6-7 to bring the score to 4-3. Sebastien Muller sealed the win for the Marlins as he won in the No. 6 singles spot 6-1, 7-6 against Jett Anderson to put the Marlins up 5-3. Tudor Vlad was the last to finish as he beat Emerson Dean 6-4, 7-5 to give Virginia Wesleyan the 6-3 win.
