The Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team (10-2-2, 5-1 ODAC) defeated Randolph College by a score of 2-1.
Nolan Schulte scored his sixth goal of the season while
Nate Mitchell made his third.
The first half of the game was tightly contested as both teams scored one goal. Schulte was first to score with an unassisted goal that sank into the right corner of the net past Randolph's goalie. Randolph tied the game 1-1 with less than five minutes remaining as Cooper Sayles scored.
The Marlins continued to apply pressure into the second half with four corner kicks and 16 shots. Their hard work climaxed in the 75th minute of the game as
Nate Mitchell scored off a penalty kick to put the Marlins up by one. Randolph was unable to catch up.
