The D3soccer.com announced the 2022 All-American teams and junior keeper
Rachel Quigley was selected for Second-Team All-American for her performance during the season.
Rachel appeared in 24 of the 25 matches this season for the Marlins starting each of the contests she appeared in. Playing a total of 2,086:57 minutes between the pipes, Quigley allowed just 13 goals on the season for a 0.56 goals allowed average while making 118 saves on 291 shots faced for a 0.901 save percentage. On the season, she recorded a 17-3-4 record in goal contributing to 14 shutouts for the Marlins.
Rachel made two crucial saves in the NCAA Sectional during the penalty kick shootout against No. 3 Christopher Newport on Nov. 20, to help propel the Marlins to their first Final Four appearance since 2006.
Quigley is the first Marlin since 2012 to receive All-American honors, as Jessica Edelman was the last Marlin to garner the accolades. Other accolades that Rachel received this season include Old Dominion Athletic Conference 3rd-team honors, United Soccer Coaches 1st-Team All-Region VI, and United Soccer Coaches Association Third-Team All-American.
