The Marlins (13-2-2, 6-2-2 ODAC) hosted Roanoke College in the ODAC Quarterfinals and defeated the Maroons 2-0. 

Nate Mitchell started off attacking the net early in the 3rd minute, Mitchell shot on goal. Then in the 23rd minute, Nate Mitchell angled a shot from the side of the net past the far post and scored the first goal of the game. This goal put the Marlins up 1-0.

The Marlins' defense led by Josh Condit, Ryan McAdams, Oneil Stanley, and Caleb Jackson held the Maroons to zero shots in the first half. The Marlins registered three shots, all of which were shots on goal.

In the 68th minute, Alex Moody took a free kick a couple of yards outside of the penalty box for the Marlins. Moody placed a bouncing ball to junior Aria Kimiavi next to the near post, Kimiavi tapped the ball into the net to put the Marlins up 2-0.

Jordan Smith did a phenomenal job at defending the goal for the Marlins. In the 76th minute, Jordan Smith had an incredible diving save. Smith also had four saves on seven shots from the Maroons and pitched a shutout in the ODAC Quarterfinal game.

The Marlins will travel to Lynchburg University on November 1st to take on the Hornets in the ODAC Semifinals.
