The Virginia Wesleyan University women's soccer team (8-3-1, 4-0-1 ODAC) held up on defense and tied Lynchburg 0-0.

Rachel Quigley defended the net well, she saved four shots and pitched a shutout.

In the first 20 minutes Shyenne Diaz shot twice.

In the first half the Hornets and Marlins both registered five shots and neither team scored.

In the 2nd half, the Marlins shot nine times, five of which were on goal. Alaina Alston shot twice on goal in the 80th minute. 

In the 90th minute, the hornets shot on goal, but Rachel Quigley saved the shot which closed the game at 0-0.

The Marlins will return to Lynchburg, VA this Saturday to face Randolph College at 4:00 PM.
