NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Marlins field hockey team fell to the Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at a neutral site contest at Christopher Newport University.

FIRST HALF
- Concordia took the early lead in the contest scoring the first goal 40 seconds into the start of play.
- The teams remained scoreless the rest of the first quarter with CU taking six shots in the opening 15 minutes.
- The Falcons again struck early scoring their second goal less than 40 seconds into the resumption of play taking a 2-0 lead.
- Both teams manged to get off five shots in the second 15 minute quarter.

- Neither team managed to find the back of the cage in the second half of play despite Concordia taking 15 shots over the two periods.
