NORFOLK, Virginia – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team fell to the national ranked #32 Generals 9-0 on Saturday evening indoors at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center on the campus of Old Dominion University.

At one doubles, Mitchell Perry and Felix Bevc fell to Harry Kitteredge and Connor Connor Coleman, 8-4. With the loss, Perry and Bevc fell to 3-2 on the season at the top spot.
At two doubles, senior Anthony Wilson and sophomore Henry West dropped their first match of the season at #2 doubles, falling 8-2 to W&L's Noah Tapp and T.J. Rudden.
Juniors Michael Portera and Connor Cummings also dropped their first match of the season at #3, falling to Mac Morehead and James Torbert.
At the top spot in singles, Felix Bevc retired due to injury after being down 0-3 to Alex Fedor.
Henry West and Michael Portera each fell, 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-3 respectively.
The match of the night was at #2, where senior Mitchell Perry battled back after dropping the first 0-6 to WL's Evan Brady, before battling back taking the 2nd set 6-4. Brady outlasted Perry in the match tiebreaker 10-7.
