Mary Shipp Named ODAC Pitcher of the Week

FOREST, Va. -- Senior pitcher Mary Shipp was named Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete game shutout of No. 2 Salisbury University on Saturday.

Shipp allowed just two hits against the national power, not issuing a walk while striking out three. The Marlins went on to win the contest 5-0 in the road contest.

The Marlins are currently 3-1 on the season and will host Averett University in a non-conference doubleheader Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
