Felipe Juarez joined Batten University in 2025 as the Athletic Events and Student-Athlete Experience Coordinator.

In his role, Juarez assists with the planning and execution of athletic events while helping enhance the overall student-athlete experience across Batten's 25 varsity sports. Drawing on nearly a decade of coaching, leadership, and player development experience, he works closely with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes to support the department's commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Juarez comes to Batten after serving as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Mary Baldwin University from 2022-26. During his tenure, he guided the program to steady improvement and a conference playoff appearance in 2024 while establishing a culture centered on discipline, accountability, and personal development. He also represented the NCAA as an NCAA Site Representative for the Division III Soccer Tournament and helped coordinate student-athlete involvement in community engagement initiatives.

Prior to becoming head coach, Juarez served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Mary Baldwin, where he contributed to scouting reports, match preparation, recruiting efforts, and team operations. His experience in event preparation, organization, and student-athlete support provided a strong foundation for his transition into athletics administration.

Before entering the collegiate ranks, Juarez spent two years as the Premier Technical Director for Player Progression Academy, overseeing coaching education and player development initiatives throughout the organization. He designed club-wide development curricula and mentored coaches while helping improve technical performance across multiple age groups.

Juarez also gained extensive experience with the D.C. United Academy from 2016-20, working with players from the U12 through U23 levels. There, he assisted with player development plans, talent identification, video analysis, and academy operations while helping support one of the nation's premier youth development systems.

A graduate of Towson University, Juarez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) D License and is a graduate of the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Coach Credential Program. Fluent in Spanish, Juarez brings expertise in leadership, mentorship, event coordination, player development, and organizational management to the Virginia Wesleyan athletics department.
