Erin Williams joined the Virginia Wesleyan women’s tennis program as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in Spring 2026, bringing a global playing background along with a strong foundation in athlete development. A former Division I student-athlete at the University of Colorado Boulder, Williams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Augusta University and a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Justice, and Society from Dalhousie University in Canada.
Originally from Nassau, Bahamas, Williams began playing tennis at the age of four and competed extensively on the international stage. She represented her country on numerous occasions and events, including JITIC (U12 & U14), ITF junior tournaments, and Junior Fed Cup. At age 14, she earned a scholarship to train at the Guizar Tennis Academy (formerly in Tampa, Fl.) prior to her collegiate career.
Williams assisted with the formation of Dalhousie University’s tennis program, which won a national championship in its inaugural season. She previously worked with the University of Colorado Boulder summer camps and continues to give back to the sport by assisting with coaching and youth development programs in The Bahamas whenever she returns home.
Fun Fact(s): Erin's nickname is “E,” and the players enjoy that "she calls it like it is." "If you're not concentrating or serving like rubbish, she'll let you know -- and sometimes that's what you need!" - Meena Lennon (current player).
