K'Vonte Scott joined the Virginia Wesleyan Track and Field Coaching Staff as an assistant in the spring of 2022. In June of 2023, he was promoted to the Assistant Director of Men's/Women's Cross Country and Track & Field. 

In 2024, the Track & Field team had three national qualifiers, Natashe Tate and Isaiah Bullock in the indoor Track & Field season, and Natashe Tate in the Outdoor Track & Field season. The 2023-24 team broke over 10 school records and had over 100 Top Ten School performances. 

A Virginia Beach native, K'Vonte graduated from Princess Anne High School and went on to further his academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte campus, where he was a Decathlon athlete.

During his time at UNCC, Scott was a two-time Atlantic Sun Conference Champion in 2012 and 2013, as well as being C-USA Conference champion in 2014. Scott also earned NCAA Division 1 All-American honors as a Decathlete in 2015.

Scott graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts in Communication- Mass Media. During his coaching career he has coached as the Head Throws Coach for Jacksonville Atlantic Track Club in Jacksonville, FL from 2013-2021.
