Liz Miller

Liz Miller joined the VWU Softball coaching staff prior to the 2021-22 season as the assistant softball coach. Under her leadership, Miller helped the Marlins to their sixth straight ODAC Championship title and the program's 14th overall. Miller helped train the ODAC Player of the Year as well as six ODAC All-Conference honorees. 

Miller, a 2017 graduate of Virginia Wesleyan, was a member of the program's first NCAA National Championship team. She was one of three Marlins that season to start all 57 games and served as the starting second baseman. Miller, then Bailey, batted .276 on the year with a homer, 27 RBI, and 35 runs scored.

In her career, Miller touts a batting average of .290 in 159 games played. She tallied 110 hits in 379 at-bats for 82 runs scored and 65 RBI. Miller hit 25 doubles, two triples, and two home runs in her career. In the field, Miller contributed to 210 putouts with 197 assists. 


Miller garnered several honors and awards including being named to the Ashland NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team, was a two-time ODAC All-Conference honoree, and earned NFCA Scholar Athlete honors once and ODAC All-Academic team three-times. 


Miller married Marlin baseball alumni Jordan Miller, class of 2015, in 2020. Jordan and Liz welcomed their first child in the fall of 2021.
