Aubree Johnson returns to Virginia Wesleyan as the assistant tennis coach for both the men's and women's programs. Johnson graduated from VWU in 2020 with a degree in Mathematics.
In her first season helping coach the Marlins men's and women's tennis teams, she helped the teams advance to the post season with the men advancing to the finals against Washington & Lee and the women advancing to the quarterfinals against Lynchburg. Under the instruction, five men's players to ODAC post-season accolades including Mitchell Perry who garnered first-team accolades in both singles and doubles action.
While at Virginia Wesleyan, Johnson competed on the women's tennis team for four years earning a 3-4 singles record and a 17-22 doubles mark.
Since graduating, Johnson has been coaching softball and tennis at Norfolk Christian high school, the school she attended and played for in her high school years. She also assisted with the basketball program at Norfolk Christian.
Johnson is pursuing her Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from Old Dominion University.
