Tom Hall begins his fourth year as Director of Men’s and Women’s golf at Virginia Wesleyan in 2025-26.
For the 2024-25 season, Hall led the Women's Golf program to their best finish in the ODAC Tournament in program history. Finishing fourth with Juliette Coffey leading the was with a tenth place finished and a Third Team All-Conference selection.
Men's Golf finished 10th in the ODAC Championship Tournament. The Marlins were led by captain Avery Barnes who won the Marlin Invitational and recorded four top ten finishes. The men’s golf team won their second straight Marck Laesch Award that is given to the most improved team each year.
In his second year as Director of Men's and Women's golf, he rejuvenated the women's golf program and brought the team new heights as Juliette Coffey broke several program records as well as clinched the first ODAC Championship in the women's program history. Coffey won the individual tournament with a score of 230, while the team finished sixth with an overall score of 1029. The Men's golf team saw great improvement and was awarded the Mark Laesch Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), an award to recognize based on improvement in adjusted stroke average per round from 2021-22 to 2022-23. The Men's team improved by an average of 29.94 strokes during that time period.
Prior to Virginia Wesleyan, Coach Hall was a volunteer assistant coach at Great Bridge High School from 2018-2022. In the five years that he coached at Great Bridge, he guided the Wildcats to three regional runner-up finishes (2019-2021) and two state appearances (2020-2021).
While at Great Bridge there were several individuals that won significant individual awards. In 2018, Hall coached a women’s state champion, in 2020 a regional champion, and in 2021 a men’s state runner-up.
Hall has also competed in the Golfweek Amateur Tour for one year finishing with 3 top-10 finishes. He hopes to qualify for the VSGA Senior Amateur in the future.
Hall has been a public educator for over 30 years. He has taught multiple high school sports for both boys and girls in six different schools. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and his Master’s Degree in Special Education from Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA.
Hall and his wife, Kris have two sons, Connor and Dylan.
