Bryan Hearn

Bryan Hearn

Hearn completed his third season at the helm of the Virginia Wesleyan golf program in 2014-15. While at VWC, Hearn has developed the program into a perennial competitor in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and the region. He has produced the largest rosters in the history of the golf program, while also guiding the team to the highest team grade point average in 10 years. In total, the Marlins have 11 Dean’s List recipients in his three years.

On the course, Hearn has improved the team an average of 23 strokes since setting foot on campus. He has coached two individual medalists, three All-ODAC players and the 2015 ODAC Rookie of the Year, a first in program history. Hearn’s teams have consistently played one of the toughest schedules, facing 18 teams in the top 25. His team won the Community Service Award in 2013-14, another first for the program.

Hearn has also served as the assistant golf professional at the Broad Bay and Greenbrier Country Clubs. He instructed the junior programs, proving his ability to develop golf talent in young, developing players.

Hearn graduated from Old Dominion University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art, minoring in sports management.
