The 2025 NCAA Softball Regional Tournament hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University will consist of four teams competing in a double-elimination format. Competition dates are slated for May 15-17.
Tickets will be available at TowneBank Park one hour before the first game each day. Cash is highly encouraged (Bills under $20); Adults will be sold for $10, $8 for Students and Seniors, and $5 for kids ages 4-12.
The Marlins punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 15th time in program history posting a 41-3-1 record. The Marlins are ranked No. 5 in the country and last weekend won their 16th conference title over No. 23 Randolph-Macon College. Head Coach Brandon Elliot is in his 18th season with the team, and this is his 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, where he has won three National Titles.
Swarthmore is the No. 2 Seed in the pod and holds a 32-10 record. The Garnet won their second Centennial Conference Championship in program history with a 9-2 victory over No. 17 Gettysburg College. Winning their second title in three years.
The No. 3 Seed Messiah comes in with a 33-11 record and claimed their 12th conference title in program history defeating Eastern University twice en route to winning the MAC Title.
Western New England, the No. 4 Seed, will face the Host, Virginia Wesleyan, first and come in with a 26-15-1 record. The Golden Bears captured their second straight Conference of New England championship this past weekend with a 1-0 win in eight innings over Nichols College to take the crown. The Golden Bears will head into the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row and the ninth time overall in program history.
