• ODAC All-Academic Team (2017-18)

Sophomore (2016-17): Went 1-14 in singles action and 4-13 in doubles play… Defeated Penn St.-Abington in three sets on March 8 for her lone singles victory at No. 3… Also saw time at No. 2 and No. 4… Won both matches with Taylor Witherspoon at No. 3 doubles… Spent time at all three doubles positions.

Freshman (2015-16): Appeared in seven singles and seven doubles matches on the year… Defeated Randolph College 6-2, 6-4 in her first match on April 3… Also paired with Abby Horgan for an 8-2 win on April 3 against the WildCats.

Before VWU: Played field hockey for Matoaca since the eighth grade… Named the 2015 Scholar-Athlete… Named First Team All-Conference in 2012, 2013, and 2014 as well as First Team All-Region in 2013 and 2014… Has received second team recognition at the state level… Player of the Year in 2013… Member of National Honor Society… President of the Key Club… Student of the Specialty Center for Information Technology… Also played soccer, basketball, and tennis… Made it to state in 2014.

Personal: The daughter of Bonnie and Walter Cheely… Has a sister, Keri, and a brother, Sonny… Her sister played field hockey for Hollins University… Religious studies minor.
