The Virginia Wesleyan University women's tennis team was defeated by Averett in the first round of the ODAC Championship Tournament.

Haley Haydon and Kristina Abrams fell 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles match, Mikisha Thomas and Shannon Lewes lost 8-1 in the No. 2 doubles match, and the duo of Tuva Flink and Sophie Engelberts was defeated 8-1 in the No. 1 doubles match. 

Shannon Lewes was defeated 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles match, and Sophia Bibbo fell 6-1, 6-0 to seal the 5-0 win for Averett.
