The Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis (11-4, 4-1 ODAC) defeated conference opponent Roanoke 9-0.
In the doubles matches, the Marlins made quick work of the Maroons.
Ole Behrmann and
Tudor Vlad won 8-1 in the No. 1 doubles spot,
Rafael Rullan Zarraga and
Hubert Parawa won in the No. 2 spot 8-2, and
Sainandan Challagundla and
Cam Perry won 8-3 to put VWU up 3-0.
Tudor Vlad cruised past Julio Marques 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles match,
Ole Behrmann won 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match against Federico Maccari, and
Rafael Rullan Zarraga won convincingly in the No. 1 singles spot, 6-2, 6-3, against Zach Kriebel.
With the Marlins holding a 6-0 lead,
Sainandan Challagundla fought hard in his No. 4 singles match to win 6-2, 7-5.
Stefan Zrnic won in the No. 5 spot with a 6-2, 6-0 victory, and teammate
Olaf Van der Stam won 6-3, 6-3 in the final singles match to seal the 9-0 win over Roanoke.
