The Virginia Wesleyan University women's tennis team (4-5, 1-1 ODAC) was defeated by Averett 8-1. 

The duo of Tuva Flink and Sophie Engelberts lost 8-2 in the No. 1 doubles, Mikisha Thomas and Shannon Lewes fell 8-4 in the No. 2 doubles, and Haley Haydon and Kristina Abrams lost 8-1 in the No. 3 doubles. 

Shannon Lewes had a fantastic match going to a third set against Amelie Schroeder in the No. 3 singles match. Winning set one 6-3, dropping set two 7-6, and won the third set 10-8. 

Haley Haydon fought well in the No. 6 singles, she lost set one 6-4 and set two 7-6. In the No. 4 singles spot, Mikisha Thomas fell to Harshri Asher losing 6-4 and 6-1. Sophie Engelberts lost in the No. 2 singles spot losing 6-3 and 6-0.

Tuva Flink fought hard in the No. 1 singles spot losing 6-1, 6-2, and Sophia Bibbo lost 6-0, 6-2.
