Marlins Force Second Game against No. 12 Randolph-Macon, Fall Short in Game Two

A tight contest against No. 12 Randolph-Macon in the semifinals of the Softball ODAC Championship Tournament, the Marlins took game one winning 2-1, and the Yellow Jackets won game two 2-0. 

Lauren Bible pitched a complete game allowing one unearned run in game one, six hits, and striking out three. 

Game One:
The Marlins scored first in the fifth inning Madison Hudson singled to center field followed by an RBI double for Julia Piotrowski that scored the pinch runner Emily Halloway to take a 1-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets responded in the bottom of the sixth, tying the game up at 1-1. 

Virginia Wesleyan took the lead in the top of the seventh. Madison Hudson, Brooke Anderson, and Sarah Prosser walked to load up the bases for Laci Campbell, who singled to the shortstop and scored Hudson from third to seal the win for the Marlins and force game two. 

Julia Piotrowski went 1-for-3 at-bat with a double and one RBI, Laci Campbell went 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Alison Pollack went 1-for-2 and walked twice. 

Game Two:
The Marlins fought hard in game two. The Yellow Jackets went on to win 2-0, scoring in the third and sixth inning to move on to the finals.

Emily Seale pitched 6.0 innings, allowed two runs, on two hits, and had three strikeouts, Emma Adams went 2-for-3 and Laci Campbell went 1-for-3.
