WINCHESTER, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's tennis team defeated Shenandoah University 8-1 on Sunday afternoon in Winchester.  The Marlins swept all 3 doubles, 8-6, 8-2, 8-3 respectively.  Following the doubles sweep, VWU went on to take 2-6 singles, dropping just 6 games collectively.

• Christine Zalameda moved to 8-0 ODAC singles play by defeating Lily Kimble, 6-0, 6-0 at #2 singles.
• Audrey Bally improved to 7-1 in conference play, winning 6-0, 6-0 at #3 singles.
• Anna Rogers, Shannon Lewes and Amanda Stegemann each won in straight sets, dropping just 4 games collectively at 4-6 singles respectively.
• Shannon Lewes and Sophia Bibbo were down 2-3 at #3 doubles but rallied to take the match 8-3.
• Alexa Brewster and Audrey Bally avenged a 2020 loss to Jahveesha Combs and Lily Kimble, winning 8-6 at the top doubles spot.
• Christine Zalameda and Anna Rogers improved to 7-3 on the year, cruising to an 8-2 win at #2 doubles.
