Betty S. Rogers Track and Field Center

The Betty S. Rogers Track and Field Center, constructed in 2017,  is the comprehensive, NCAA championship specification facility that is home to the Marlins harriers.  With a 400 meter track along with complete jumping and throwing facilities, the center is named in memory of the sister of VWU graduate, trustee and philanthropist, William Shelhorse.  Shelhorse, founder of Chesapeake Bay Contractors in Virginia Beach, was inspired to attend VWU by his older sister.  The facility also includes a scoreboard and seating for 500 spectators.
