VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Tori Manahan of the Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team has been named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Third Team for her efforts during the 2018 season.
Transferring in this season, Manahan was instrumental in helping the Marlins turn their season around, helping the squad produce its first winning season since 2015.
Manahan had a terrific outing on the offensive end, notching a point in every single game the Marlins played. The sophomore was tied for the team lead in goals with 28 and was second one the squad in assists and points. One of her top offensive outputs came in the season finale where she registered six points (5G, 1A) and scored the game-winning goal with just seven ticks left on the clock.
The Westminster, Md. native dominated the restarts this season as her 57 draw controls led the squad and was the 12th most in the conference. In a win over Randolph on April 4, Manahan controlled a career-high draws, which also ranks as the sixth most in VWU history.
