Women's Basketball Announces 2019-20 Schedule

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's basketball program announced their 2019-20 season schedule.  The team will compete in 21 regular season games including the N.C. Wesleyan tournament during Thanksgiving break.

The Marlins open up their season at home in the Batten Center on November 12th when they play host to Salisbury University.  Game time is scheduled for 5 pm.

The team then travels to Fredericksburg, Va. for the Hyatt Place Tip-Off Tournament where they will square off against Wesley College on November 15. The team will then take on the winner of the University of Mary Washington and Lehman College the following day

Virginia Wesleyan opens up their ODAC regular season schedule on the road then they travel to Winchester, VA to take on Shenandoah on Wednesday November 20th.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.

During Thanksgiving break the Marlins will head south to take part in the NC Wesleyan tournament.  The squad will face Averett University on November 23rd and host NC Wesleyan on the 24th.  Game times are TBA for both. 

On November 30th VWU heads to Lynchburg to take on Randolph College.  Tip-off is set for 2 pm.

Bridgewater College comes to Virginia Beach on Wednesday December 4th to take on the Marlins.  Game time is set for 7 pm in the Batten Center.

The Marlins continue the home stand on December 7th when they take on Hollins University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 2 pm.

On Sunday December 15th the Marlins will host the Captains of Christopher Newport.  The Hampton Roads rivalry is slated for 1 pm.

Virginia Wesleyan will open start their new year off by traveling to Emory and Henry on January 2nd for a 4 pm contest.

Upon returning to Virginia Beach the Marlins will host the Maroons of Roanoke College on January 4th and the Eastern Mennonite Royals on January 7th.  Game times are 2 and 7 pm respectively.

On Saturday January 11th the Marlins head west to Lexington, VA to take on Washington and Lee University.  Tip-off is set for 2 pm in the Duchossois Tennis Center.

The Marlins then return home for a non-conference battle against Mid-Atlantic Christian at 7 p.m. on January 14th.

Lynchburg travels to Virginia Beach on January 18th to take on the Marlins.  Game time is set for 2 pm in the Batten Center and this will also mark the team's "Nancy Kelly Game" played in memory of former women's basketball 

On Wednesday January 22nd the Marlins travel to Bridgewater College for their 2nd half of their home and home versus the Eagles.  Players take the court at 7 pm in Nininger Hall. 

The Marlins return home on January 25th when they take on Emory & Henry.  Game begins at 2 pm.

On Tuesday January 28th the Marlins head to Ashland, VA to take on ODAC rival Randolph Macon College.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.

Virginia Wesleyan continues their ODAC road schedule on Saturday February 1st when they travel west to take on Hollins University.  Game time is set for 2 pm.

The Marlins return to the Batten Center on Wednesday February 5th when they take on the Guilford College Quakers.  Tip-off is slated for 7 pm.

On Saturday February 8th Virginia Wesleyan heads to Roanoke College for the 2nd half of their home and home with the Maroons. 

On Tuesday February 11th the Marlins will host the Washington and Lee Generals in the Batten center.  Time is set for 7 pm.

Virginia Wesleyan concludes their regular season at home on Saturday February 22nd when they take on Ferrum College.  The senior day match up is slated for 4:30 pm.
