Martin Earns First Team All-ODAC Nod to Pace Marlins

FOREST, Va. -- Senior midfielder Tanner Martin earned the first all-conference nod of his career to pace the Virginia Wesleyan selections as the All-ODAC men's soccer teams were announced on Thursday.

Washington and Lee University's Dylan Ritch was named ODAC Player of the Year while Lynchburg College head coach Chris Yeager brought home ODAC Coach of the Year honors. Roanoke defender Marc Hoppler was ODAC Rookie of the Year as W&L's Gillen Beck garnered ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Martin's first all-conference recognition is an All-ODAC First Team nod as he paced the squad with nine goals on the year. He posted two multi-goal games on the season, including his first career hat trick in a 3-0 win over Randolph-Macon College.

Sophomore Ricky Perrault is on the All-ODAC Second Team for the second-straight year after finishing second on the team with 12 points. He also had a pair of multi-goal games, contributing the game-winning tally in each of those contests.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jay Fox is earning his first All-ODAC nod as he received third team laurels on Thursday. Fox has been one of the top goalies in the ODAC, averaging just over one goal allowed per match. He ranks fourth in the league in that categories, while his 87 saves also rank him fourth. His 81.3% save percentage places his second in the ODAC.
