BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University golf teams finished up the final two rounds of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships Monday at Bryan Park. The men's team took home third place overall as it combined for a three-round score of 897 (+33).
Keith Cooper had a tremendous outing as the junior climbed six spots to claim sixth overall and the Marlins top finisher. Cooper improved each round, shooting a 77 in rodun one, 73 in round two and 71 in round three.
Teammate Carter Morgan also jumped up the leaderboard as he slid up to a tie for eighth as he scored a 223 (+7). He had his top score of the tournament in the second round, posting a 72. Also placing in the top-20 was Jakob Keidel as he as his 226 (+10) put him in a tie for 12th.
Senior Kevin Duffy did well to get back towards the top of the leaderboard as he jumped six spots after day one, coming in 22nd with a score of 231. Rounding out the Marlin's men's squad was Jacob Laughlin who came in 24th with a score of 233.
